Q: Where will games be played

A:

BSL has obtained permission from Boise Parks and Rec. to use up to eight fields. These are the same fields that you are playing on today. BSL will equitably share fields with other sports organizations based on the porportion of teams in each league.

Q: When does BSL play?

A:

BSL games are played in a fall/spring seasonal year, eight games per season. First day of play this fall is still to be determined.

Q: How much does it cost for to register a player in BSL?

A:

US Club Soccer registration is $25 PER SEASONAL YEAR. This includes liability and secondary medical coverage. League registration is $24 per season.

Q: Can I play on more than one team?

A:

Yes. You can ‘play up’ for an administrative fee of $10.

Q: How much does it cost for a team to play in BSL?

A:

Team fee is $375 per season.

Q: Do the fees collected by BLS include referee fees?

A:

Yes. You will not have to pay additional money to referees at the field. Be sure to include the cost of referee fees when comparing  BSL fees with other adult soccer leagues.

Q: I have outstanding fines in another adult soccer league. Will I have to pay these fines in order to register with BSL?

A:

No.

Q: What about fines for red and yellow cards.

A:

BSL does not impose any monetary fines for yellow and red cards!

Q: No Fines?

A:

No fines! The ASAI fundamentally does not believe that adding additional fines to players and teams is appropriate, particularly in today’s economic environment. We believe that discipline should be applied fairly to all players, without regard to your annual income. Obviously, a player who earns $20,000 a year can less afford fines and penalities than a player who earns $200,000 a year. We believe there are more creative and positive ways to enforce team discipline.

Q: What about referees?

A:

The Southwest Idaho Soccer Referee Association has agreed to provide referees for BSL games. We will be using Arbiter and RefPay.
